Description:
This is the first ground-up building by Matthew Baird, an architect previously with Tod Williams Billie Tsien & Associates. A 40-foot high corten steel plate sets off the building from its West Village neighbors, gives it a scale much greater than its frontage and height, and references the nearby Meatpacking District.
