Welcome to The Archi-Tourist, a free, Wiki-based travel guide to contemporary architecture around the globe, started in 2005. The Wiki software enables multiple users to create and edit the content of the site, meaning The Archi-Tourist will grow and evolve over time as more and more people contribute. Click through the sidebar at right to get started, or read below for more information.

How does it work?

The individual entries (buildings) are organized geographically by tags, typically one-word descriptions that make navigation easy. These can be found at the top right of each page, organized by continent, country, state/province, and city.

Entries:

Each entry provides the following information:

:: Architect

:: Completion date

:: Building description

:: Images

:: Address

:: Location map

:: Directions

:: Links to nearby building entries, if applicable

:: Other buildings on this site by architect, if applicable

:: External links

Getting started:

Click on the SideBar at right to navigate via cities. Use the search box in the upper right-hand corner to find an entry by architect, building name, or other non-geographical description. Also, the ten latest entries are listed on the What's New page.
